Fundraising for This Year End Let's Invest In Brighter Futures

In the photos above we see children giving away food, chocolates etc to other children. Pretty sight and admirable gesture! But more inspiring is the story behind the gesture. These kids raised the funds for the donation themselves. One child is 10 year old. He saved his pocket money for 4 months to ensure that when his parents do the annual lunch at the centre, he can buy enough Honey Bell cakes for every child. Why? because it is his favourite and he wanted all to have the fun. Another girl, 12 years old, decided to skip buying a birthday present to provide lunch to the children. A pair of siblings wanted to understand the way NGOs work but did not want to come empty handed. They wanted to give each child and see the joy on their faces.

If they can have a desire to donate to see smiles, if they can save to share what they love, if they can let go of luxuries to fulfil basic necessities of other children, can't we share our funds to ensure the underprivileged children get quality education and ensure a permanent smile on the faces of these children?

Last year many of you helped me to raise Rs. 25000. This year I am positive to receive the double support and meet my goal of Rs.50000 before 31st March'19.

Where will your money be utilised? In paying fees for schools, tuition classes, buying notebooks, pencils etc. In some projects where the children stay literally on the streets, it will be used to arrange for nutritious food, to pay medical bills and to provide with essentials like tooth paste, bathing soap etc.

• Vibha, along with its partner Sikshana, established an MoU with the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh in India to implement Sikshana’s flagship program “Prerana (Motivation)” in 1958 public schools in 11 tribal mandals of Visakhapatnam district to eventually benefit 73,720 children
• Streamlined corporate support from organizations like Amazon and Texas Instruments towards the rehabilitation of schools affected in the Kerala floods, and raised $120,000
• Thanks to our efforts and transparency, Vibha was the recipient of the Guidestar Gold Seal 2018 and Great NonProfits Top-Rated Award for 2018
• We at Vibha we want to solve problems consistently through bringing in best of minds. To achieve this goal, we invited some of the best brains who are eminent names in their fields, as our Advisory Board to guide us in our journey
