Texas Instruments - A Ray of Light in the COVID-19 Crisis
Fundraising for Save Lives, Save India
Dear TI’ers,
The second wave of Covid-19 continues throughout India and its pushing hospitals and the health infrastructure to its limit. There is an urgent need to enhance healthcare infrastructure and further strengthen capacities at hospitals to meet the surge in demand.
TI is partnering with an NGO - Vibha and working with the Government of Karnataka and Modulus Housing, an Indian start-up that builds modular pre-fabricated structures, to extend the capacity of the hospital at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases in Bangalore. TI will fund the extension hospital, which comes fitted with Intensive Care Units and oxygenated beds and we hope to have the facility up and running in less than a month. Qualified healthcare professionals from the Rajiv Gandhi Hospital will staff the hospital, providing the right care to patients. To ensure sustainability of this project post COVID, the facility can be converted to a pharmacy or relocated to rural areas to supplement local healthcare infrastructure. The extension hospital comes with a 25-year warranty. There is also an opportunity for all TI’ers to contribute towards this project by donating towards Medical equipment such as Ventilators and Oxygen concentrators. There is an urgent need for this support and every additional equipment will enhance the hospital and their staffs ability in this fight against Covid-19. As our efforts increase to reach more and more of affected families, we know you have stepped up before and you will again. We absolutely need your support now more than ever! You may choose to donate ANY amount. Please know that NO amount is too small! Every contribution counts! Thank you, TI Indian Diversity Initiative and TI India Community Involvement Team. |
