IMPACT'21: COVID-19 Relief for India
India is currently experiencing the world's worst COVID-19 outbreak. As of May 20th, there have been more than 25 million documented cases of COVID-19 across India, accounting for more than 15% of the world's total cases.
IMPACT'21 Goals
The Project IMPACT team is focused on providing help to the people of India for the IMPACT'21 initiative goal. Goals include but are not limited to:
- Researching and documenting appropriate fundraising opportunities
- Enabling employees to support the people of India/ fellow Hitachi employees affected by COVID-19 crisis in India through monetary and non-monetary initiatives
- Create a supportive environment for coworkers affected directly/indirectly by the COVID-19 crisis in India to return to
IMPACT'21 Vibha Fundraiser
Vibha has recognized that India is facing a dangerous surge of new COVID-19 infections and is focused on providing COVID-19 Relief efforts for the people of India. As of May 20, 2021, Vibha has provided:
- $1.75M RAISED
- $900K disbursed for COVID relief
- $650k - Partnered with Texas Instruments and Govt. of Karnataka to set up a 100-bed modular hospital in Bengaluru
- 1100 oxygen concentrators procured. First batch distributed to Ambedkarnagar (UP), Meerut (UP), Srungavarapukota (AP), Beed (Maharashtra), Bengaluru (Karnataka), Beawar (Rajasthan)
- 25k PPE kits, 240k masks and 180k gloves procured
- Funded an ambulance to serve remote villages of Rajasthan
- Vaccination clinics in planning / procurement of medical supplies
