Fundraising for Save Lives, Save India

India is going through an unprecedented healthcare crisis due to the second outbreak of COVID19. The entire medical system is under tremendous stress. Project Samvedna is a small contribution to help ease off this burden by facilitating access to medical tele-counseling to Covid patients during this crisis.

This is a short-term good samaritan initiative started on humanitarian grounds with the primary objective of providing tele-counseling to suspected or confirmed COVID patients, especially to people living in rural India and to urban underserved communities. We believe that early, easy, and round-the-clock access to medical counseling for diagnosing mild, moderate, or severe COVID conditions will empower people to understand their situation, make informed decisions about if/when to access hospitalized care. Awareness from such counseling will reduce anxiety in people and promote home management of mild and moderate patients adequately. This, we believe, will help reduce the burden on an already exhausted health care system. Project Samvedna is a 100% volunteer-driven initiative.

For the tele-counseling, Project Samvedna started a Hotline number through which patients could get counseling from doctors. Samvedna approached and received help from the organization Vibha to buy the Hotline and be the sub-provider of the Hotline to this initiative. The cost of running the Hotline is borne by volunteers of Project Samvedna. This donation page is created for Samvedna Volunteers to donate money to Vibha towards the payment of the Hotline invoice.
