My first Marathon
Hello Everyone,
The year 2020 brought so many surprises to our life. Covid lockdown taught us how to be appreciative of little things that happen in our daily life. Activities such as just being out or enjoying the fresh air and meeting our family and friends became something we are eagerly looking forward to. It also gave us a glimpse of the struggles people in the world are going through due to financial hardship. The pandemic is not over yet. We all need to work together to help each other out.
I worked as a registered nurse for 18 + years in a Cardiac ICU. Every day was stressful at multiple levels, but the peace of mind you get at the end of the day was rewarding.
My goal for this fundraiser is to help people in India. The patients and their families suffering from covid and post covid complications require essential items and medical equipment. Supporting kids who lost their parents due to covid and many more are achievable if we all work together. Most of us are not in a position to be in India to meet the needs of people who need help. That's when the role of an organization such as Vibha is significant. Vibha works with many non-profit organizations in India as well as in the US to coordinate the resources and help people in need in India and in the US.
I will be participating in a half marathon organized by Vibha to spread the message of " pay it forward" to help humanity.
