Fundraising For Vibha On Occasion Of Siddharth's Upanayanam
Fundraising for Celebrate To Educate
Dear Friends and Family,
We are really honored to have your presence at Siddharth's Upanayanam (munja) ceremony. Upanaynam (munja) also known as thread ceremony is a traditional ceremony used to initiate the process of learning and knowledge in children.
As per Indian tradition, we understand that you would like to gift something to Siddharth on this occasion. By God's grace, Siddharth has enough resources & support to help him on his path to education. Unfortunately, this is not true of many kids across the world! On the occasion of Siddharth's thread ceremony, we would like your help in raising money for Vibha, a non profit that focuses on creating a scalable and sustainable infrastructure for children's education in India. Please join us in supporting this good cause.
We strongly believe that every child, regardless of background, should get education - it empowers the individual, his/her family and their future generations. My grandfather (Ti. Dada Aajoba) started the first school in our ancestral home in Rajgurunagar in 1938. This small school has now grown into a large high-school (Mahatma Gandhi Vidyalaya) and the entire village has derived benefits out of his noble deed. Inspired by this legacy, we try to take small steps towards the cause of children's education, whether in India or US. I have been a member of Vibha, contributing a small amount monthly ever since I earned my first pay-check in 2000 and now, Siddharth's thread ceremony is another event to raise funds for underprivileged children in India.
Your tax deductible donation will buy them books, provide teachers, build classrooms, bring doctors and provide safe shelters. Let's join hands to help educate every child and invest in the future of India. One child at a time...
Regards,
Chaitrali & Mihir Kulkarni
