BCT High School
Hello!
BCT is a non-profit organization working towards integrated rural development since 1976. Over these 43 years, many experiments have been conducted and some of them have been scaled up at a national level.
However, over the past 23 years, BCT has been running a residential high school with an overarching principle of "value based, skills oriented, rurally biased quality education" for 250 students. A new integrated campus has been built where both these high school children and Challenged children attend school together while some classes are different for both. Children are trained in academics, vocational skills and in social animation, rejuvenation of folk arts. 80% of alumni continue to stay in villages. Over 13,500 children in the villages have been trained in folk arts by these high school children.
This is program is run without much support from Government. Cost per child per year comes to ₹46,500 also entails lodging and boarding charges. Now we appeal to you so contribute towards children's education and facilitate us in continuing this unique rurally biased education.
BCT produces a monthly newsletter regarding its projects. If you are interested in receiving one, please send us a email to info@bctindia.org asking us to put your name in the mailing list.
Looking forward towards your cooperation and collaboration. Also taking this opportunity to invite you and your family to come and spend some time with our children, next time you are in India.
Yours-in-service,
B. Sri Ram Murty
Secretary/CEO.
