Fundraising for Vibha India: Financial Year End Campaign

My Personal Journey with Vibha

While working on a project with Oak Ridge National Labs in the US, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Shreekanth Pannala, one of the researchers there. When I mentioned to him of my intention to move back to India, he told me that he was a board member of Vibha and explained about the work they did. When I moved to Bangalore, I got in touch with the Vibha Bangalore action centre and found out about a trip that was planned to one of the schools supported by Vibha through their partner Sikshana. This was the beginning of my journey with Vibha. Since then, I have been a volunteer and have participated in so many activities like donation drives, school trips, fund raising events like the Dream Mile, Vibha Premier League, Vibha Shuttles and Smashes and so many more activities. As I am nearing 5 years of being a volunteer, I cant help but be impressed by the number of lives that Vibha has touched, and I am immensely proud that my work as a volunteer has contributed to this feat.

This year, the Vibha Bangalore Action Center is joining hands with all other Vibha volunteers around India and in the United States to conduct a drive to raise funds to send 3000 more children to school. I am personally trying to raise Rs 1 lakh as a part of this campaign. I do hope that you will support me in this endeavour.  Our collective target towards this drive is an ambitious INR 30,00,000 (30 Lakhs), to be raised by March 31, 2018.  Our journey is a long one but not unachievable because we know YOU are by our side!  With your tax-deductible donation, YOU CAN MAKE IT POSSIBLE!

Since our inception in 1991, Vibha has supported more than 250 projects in India and 10 projects in the US. As a result, Vibha has been able to reach out to and provide opportunities for over 2.3 million underprivileged children. Currently, Vibha supports 15 projects in India and 3 projects in the US.
