Fundraising for Vibha India: Financial Year End Campaign

Dear Friends,

We, Ashwini & Arun Kumar, have been Vibha volunteers for 10 years and counting. In our decade long journey with Vibha we have put in nearly 2500 volunteer hours and every minute of volunteering in these past 10 years has brought us enormous joy because we have contributed to positively impacting the lives of over 100,000 children annually. Vibha is a volunteer driven organization with a single purpose : To break the cycle of poverty so that every under privileged child gets the opportunities he or she deserves.  By providing education, nutrition and life skills, Vibha strives to teach them how to be self-sufficient and propels them to become successful citizens of the community. While Vibha has already educated, empowered, and enabled over 300,000 children during the last 26 years, hundreds of millions of children still need our help. We have a long way to go and we cannot do it without support from donors like you. The donations are tax deductible. Based on averages from all projects supported from Vibha, INR 1000 will benefit 1 child per year. Your donation will go towards funding educational materials, vocational training, teacher training, setting up libraries, rehabilitation of differently-abled children, basic immunizations and rescue of children from vulnerable situations. Did you know? Save the Children reports that there are 33 million children between ages 5-18 who are working and almost one third of the school going age (under 15) form this group of child labors.  On the global front this makes India the home to one of the highest concentrations of child workers! 

What is Vibha?

At Vibha, we believe that every child deserves an equal opportunity, and we strive to ensure that we do exactly that.  One child at a time. Vibha brings together the combined skills and actions of volunteers, donors, social entrepreneurs and NGOs to a common platform to find sustainable solutions to the problems faced by these underprivileged children.

About Vibha

Vibha's vision is to ensure every underprivileged attains quality education. Vibha educates, enables and empowers, individuals who wish to make a positive impact on the lives of underprivileged children. Since our inception in 1991, Vibha has supported more than 250 projects in India and 10 projects in the US. As a result, Vibha has been able to reach out to and provide opportunities for over 2.3 million underprivileged children. Currently, Vibha supports 15 projects in India and 3 projects in the US.
