Education For Every Child
Fundraising for Vibha India: Financial Year End Campaign
I have been a volunteer with Vibha since 1999- i.e. since my Georgia Tech days in the US. I have helped arrange multiple fund raising events and campaigns while in the US, as I strongly believe in Vibha's vision. I strongly believe that every child, regardless of background, should get an education.
I am very excited to share that we are doing our first ever Year End Fundraising Campaign to raise funds for our projects, and to contribute to the growth of the children in our country. Our collective target towards this drive is an ambitious INR 30 Lakhs. Our journey is a long one but not unachievable because we know YOU are by our side!
On an average, it takes INR 1,000 to fund a child's education through Vibha for a full academic year. Your tax deductible donation will buy them books, provide teachers, build classrooms, bring doctors and provide safe shelters. What better way to start your year than paving a child's future!
I initially pledged to raise INR 4 Lakhs by 31 March 2018 for this campaign through friends and family. I knew this was a challenging target, but with the help of generous friends and family, we got there within a month. We already raised money to help 400 children this year!
I would like to keep trying though, and am now pledging to raise another INR 4 Lakhs by 31 March. It will be great if we can help more children get access to education. I would request my friends and family to continue donating to the campaign.
Moreover, I pledge to personally donate to Vibha a matching donation of INR 1,000 per donor for the first 100 donors on my campaign, i.e. upto a total of INR 1 Lakh.
Let's join hands to help educate every child and invest in the future of the country. One child at a time.
