Fundraising for Vibha Striders 2021

Doesn't every child deserve to Smile? Come join and support me in this cause.  

As I was dropping my kids at school last week, I was thinking about how blessed we are to have these opportunities. On the other hand, there are countless children in India who don't even have access to basic education. The situation is worse now because of all the issues caused by the pandemic. Schools have been closed on and off and children have faced so many disruptions in their education. 

Especially now there is a need to fund an organization like Vibha, whose mission is to create a brighter future for these children. 

This year, I have set a target to raise $1,000 in helping to bring back children who are orphaned due to COVID-19 back into the classroom in India. I have been volunteering and supporting this organization Vibha, which has a dedicated core of highly passionate volunteers about education for less fortunate children in India. I am requesting your donation towards this cause. I will be running 2 half marathons to show my support and drive the more extensive conversation, Race to Educate. This is my 2nd Year in the Program. I started with them in 2020 as a Trainee, and this year, I am volunteering as a Mentor with Vibha Striders-Vibha’s premier Half & Full Marathon training program. ** October 5th- Update**
Over the weekend, I ran my 1st Half Marathon. Happy to report that I have no pains and with 1 Day's rest, I am back running. It was a surreal experience to complete this. Followed the guidance from my Vibha Coaches and kept putting one foot in front of the other. Overall a wonderful experience and hope to run many more of these. Thank You to all my fellow Vibha Striders for Support & Vibha Coaches for their Training. After completing this Half, I realized this was so true:  The more I run, the more I love my body. Not because it's perfect, Far from it. But because with every mile, it's proving to me that I am capable of more than I ever thought possible.  - Unknown. 

** Nov 10th- Update**

Last week before the big Run. The Team is Ready. We wrapped up our last long run 2 weekends ago clocking 11 Miles. I am confident that everyone will do well and wrap up this run with a big smile.
