Fundraising for Vibha Striders 2021

Dear Friends,

Vibha Striders is training me for *my first half-marathon 🏃‍♂️ in the 21st century* - and I couldn't be more excited!! 😄

As some of you already know, I was very physically active during the 20th century, with a variety of athletic and artistic endeavors, ranging from Bharat Natyam (classical Indian dance 💃) to Triathlon (swim, bike, run).  But between marriage, divorce, single-parenting, the great recession, and caretaking aging parents, I fell off the wagon - hard. 😫

Well, today, I'm climbing my way back onto that wagon! 😃 The Vibha Striders 12- week training program includes weekday runs (3x/wk) 🏃‍♂️,  strength training (2x/wk) 💪, and Sunday long distance runs 🏃‍♂️ with our regional team of ~30 runners. They provide a volunteer team of coaches, mentors, alumni, and administrators who train & assist in proper techniques for running, breathing, posture, stretching, foam rolling, hydration 💦, and nutrition 🍽 - both on and off the course.

Their parent organization, Vibha.org, launches, funds, and supports childhood education projects 🙋📖 throughout rural and tribal India 🇮🇳. I've included a detailed description of Vibha below. 👇 As a member of Vibha Striders, I've pledged to raise awareness for Vibha's causes, as well as to raise funds for Vibha's campaigns.
