A little about us:
Hi, my name is Sreeja. I'm currently a biology major at the University of Texas, Dallas. My goal is to go to medical school and become a doctor one day. When I'm not studying or dancing I love to read, crochet, and hang out with friends and family!
Hello, my name is Aakanksha. I am a sophomore in high school on my way to become a junior. I have been a Vibha volunteer since 5th grade and truly enjoy the new experiences that come along with volunteering. I am aspiring to become a doctor, so that I can help people not only through volunteering but through medicine as well. Along with volunteering I am passionate about my art, dance, baking, and archery.
Hello, my name is Vybhavi. I am aspiring to be a Senior at Plano East this coming year. In addition to dancing - I love playing tennis, listening to music and spending time with family and friends.
Vibha is an amazing way to raise money for underprivileged kids and we want to do that through dance.
We all have been learning Kuchipudi dance under the esteemed tutelage of Guru Jaya Gorty who founded Natya Nidhi school - Learn more at - http://natyanidhi.com/
We have learned so much from her, now we want to use what we have learned and share it with others. Kuchipudi is a classical Indian dance form that can depict many stories through dance. It is not only focused on performing but also can tell a story through movement and expressions. It is a mix of sharp mudras and flowing dance steps that we have been trained with.
Dance is an important part of our lives and now we have an opportunity to use that to help children in India receive an education. We have been educated in dance and school, and now we can give that same opportunity to kids who really need it and deserve it. Did you know that $17 can educate a child for an entire year??
If we can raise money for these kids we can help build a future for these intelligent and deserving children. Please show your support and help be part of the change that Vibha wants to make. Help us reach our goal!!
