Fundraising for Dream Mile X - Vibha Dallas

A lot of you may or may not know that we have been involved in a non profit called Vibha for a while now. 

Vibha is a US based non profit that focuses on Children and education - both in India and in the USA. It is platinum rated by Guidestar- a third party US based org that rates non profits for accountability and transparency among other things.  A defining factor of Vibha is that it is almost entirely fired up by volunteers- 3000 across the USA and India. They partner with 30 plus handpicked NGOs to move the needle on educational success.  For instance, they have the Door step school which delivers education to construction workers' kids through a school bus gutted out and transformed into a classroom.  And then there is Sikshana which uses a fantastic motivation model - prerana- to create such astounding success metrics in rural government schools that parents in many parts of Karnataka prefer it over private institutions.  For an entire listing of inspirational projects please visit vibha.org.  

In the USA, Vibha is currently working on a program to bridge the digital divide in Title 1 schools.  A divide that has thrown into stark relief the inequalities that exist due to various social stratifications, even in the US.  

We feel strongly that it is our moral imperative to give back and what better way than through the gift of empowering education?  In these precarious times, Vibha has stepped in and adopted several families in Mumbai and have been recognized by UNICEF as a partner on the ground. In the US, they have worked on addressing the digital divide to get schools prepped for the upcoming school year where most instruction will be delivered online.
