Fundraising for the Education of Underprivileged Children by Ramesh Maturu
Fundraising for ATLANTA DREAM MILE 2023
I have been associated with Vibha - an NGO working to transform education for underprivileged children in India – for more than 20 years, and Pyramid Consulting has been a corporate sponsor for their Flagship Run/Walk Fundraiser event - The Dream Mile for the same time.
I am glad to share with you all that this year, I have decided to take an active role in fundraising and intend to ask my network to help raise funds for a noble cause. I will attend the Vibha Dream Mile and pledge to match dollar for dollar the amount I help raise in this fundraiser.
Below is the information about Vibha, The Dream Mile, and ways you can help a worthy cause.
About the Dream Mile
The Dream Mile (DM) is Vibha’s Flagship Run / Walk Fundraiser event with an anticipated participation of 5000+ patrons worldwide. The Dream Mile originated in 1998 in Atlanta and then quickly became a permanent fixture on the calendars of runners in various cities in the US and India. The initiative has supported more than 180,000 children.
This year Vibha celebrates the 25th edition of Dream Mile in Atlanta, and will take place on September 17 at Collection at Forsyth, 410 Peachtree Pkwy, Cumming, GA.
The funds raised through The Dream Mile will support child development projects in India and the US. In addition, the funds will support local beneficiaries of the Dream Mile host cities like the Children’s Hospital of Atlanta, Inspiredu, and School on Wheels, Massachusetts.
