Did you know that even a year of quality early childhood development participation leads to a higher school readiness levels? This could lead to better learning outcomes in the early primary grades. However many children in India are working when they should be attending school. Save the Children reports that there are 33 million children between ages 5-18 who are working and almost one-third of the school going age (under 15) form this group of child labors. On the global front, this makes India the home to one of the highest concentrations of child workers!

But on the brighter side, the average annual dropout rate in elementary and primary level decreased in 2014-2015 as compared to 2013-2015 according to the National University of Educational Planning and Administration.  

It is heartening to see the awareness increasing around the importance of education among the lesser privileged society and Vibha’s core goal is to Educate, Empower and Enable children to remain motivated to receive the quality education they deserve – which is their birthright!

Be it a volunteer, donor, sponsor - Vibha’s patrons are the reason we are continuously successful in providing opportunities for these children to dream. Our journey is a long one but not unachievable because we know you are by our side!
