Project Vidya – The Gift Of Quality Education
Project Vidya strives to democratize access to quality education for disadvantaged children hailing from economically marginalized backgrounds, irrespective of any discriminatory factors. Often, parents facing financial instability resort to enrolling their children in lower-tier private schools in the hopes of providing them with a better education. However, the burden of financial constraints frequently disrupts their educational pursuits, forcing these children to prematurely exit the schooling system and, sadly, abandon their educational aspirations altogether. Recognizing this critical juncture, Project Vidya endeavors to intervene by extending the necessary assistance to ensure that deserving children are not deprived of educational opportunities due to their parents’ financial hardships. These children, burdened by the emotional and psychological toll of their circumstances, often experience setbacks in their overall well-being. Through Project Vidya, our aim is to offer comprehensive and wholistic support to these children, guaranteeing them access to quality education and an equitable footing in future opportunities.
The primary objectives of Project Vidya are as follows:
- Facilitating enrollment in reputable and accredited educational institutions.
- Facilitating regular health check-ups to ensure holistic well-being.
- Providing counseling services for both parents and children.
For our pilot initiative, we have chosen Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, India, as the demographic focus. Here, we have identified a sample cohort of 100 children from various schools, whom Project Vidya will support throughout their educational journey, ensuring assistance until at least the completion of Class 12.
